We had an 1998 A4 that had a jumpy idle and had almost no power when trying to drive it. We ran the codes and it was giving us codes for the Throttle Valve. So we replaced it and it didn't change anything and the code still came up. So we had seen somewhere that a guy had the same code and replaced his ECU. We got an ECU and popped it in. Runs great now. Might be something to consider if you run into the same problem. Hope this helps.
