Bleh, it's raining right now. I'll check tomorrow. Is there an easier way to check, like from the general engine layout?

What's the difference in terms of performance, sound, and quality between custom and something like Borla or Milltek? I want a damn efficient exhaust, and I haven't heard a whole lot about custom exhausts (since each is inherently different)

Remember, Brian, I have a automatic Quattro B5. It's year 2000, so that Milltek won't work.
milltek works with automatics. OnePoint8tee has an automatic w/milltek

I don't know if mine is an AEB or an ATW engine -- how do I check?
its written right on the engine. just take the plastic cover off and you should see it
Also, the TechTonics exhausts don't come with downpipes for the turbo? That's kinda lame
im still using my stock dp. a new one isn't really gona improve anything

the difference between borla and milltek is borla is louder. milltek is quite at idle but has a pretty deep growl when you step on it.

and as for custom exhaust, they are good but only if you find a good shop. if you use a custom exhaust with borla mufflers it is essentially the same as borla. only difference is the shop bent the pipes, not borla. but if you find a cheap shop to do it you may get a bunch of exhaust leaks and whatnot.

That's what I'm worried about. The leaks, holes, and terrible popping sounds. I like Milltek because it's a really clean rumble, but Borla is deeper. I have yet to decide, but I'm swaying towards the Milltek -- the reason being that I want my A4 heard when I floor it, but other than that, the exhaust shouldn't interrupt the driving experience.

Damn, $899 for the non-resonated. That's not a bad price for a catback + DP.

That's *EXACTLY* what I was looking for. I can't believe I missed it earlier; I was looking at EvoMS intakes. I guess I really am blind.
