found out i need a new radiator, the place wants 650+ for it installed. Is it somthing i can do myself? i've done the snub mount and the regular oil changes and that's about it.
i found a radiator on ecs tuning for 150, ES#2799 ( part number ). i believe that is the correct one for my car 98.5 a4 2.8l 30v quattro manual. am i correct?
what else will i need for parts to do the job besides the radiator? hoses or can i use the old ones? thanks !

Did you take the bumper off for the snub mount? All you need to do is take off the front bumper and your gold. Maybe all you have to do is turn the tabs and pull the hoses which is a PITA

yea if you can do the snub mount you can do this. Not quite sure but there are some tabs/bolts that hold the radiator to the lock carrier, just remove those and your good. Keep us posted, I'm curious about which radiator actually fits the 98.5 2.8

Dont forget to get a gallon of coolant from the dealership BEFORE doing this. I know it sounds obvious but I didnt when I did my timing belt. Or save the coolant in a clean container. IMO why not pay the $25 for new coolant but its up to you.

ok , i found a radiator on ecs tuning for 150. i'm going to call and make sure it's the right one.
i know how to take the bumper off , done that before only took me like 2 hours to figure it out.
as far as directions do you think i need any or is it that simple?
