RE: How reliable is quattro
The Audi Quattro is the All Wheel Drive system that all other manufacturers try to duplicate. Yes, Its that good. When I first got mine I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado and after driving the Audi in the snow for a week the Jeep sat all winter without leaving the driveway. Matter of fact I sold the Jeep and all I want to drive is my Audi. And take it from me I have driven many other cars in my time. I've had my license for 40 years now. Also have owned an 84 5000S and still have a 1990 200 Turbo. Buy the Quattro, You won't be sorry!

That's someone's fool opinion. My car is a quattro with 148k miles, and it drives perfectly. And ocadam is right, snow+quattro IS amazing By all means, get quattro. Like SAudi's sig quote says, and Audi without quattro is just a VW

Audi is prestige for AWD and have mastered the Quattro system. If you need a car that handles and performs best through winter and snow conditions, audi quattro is your best bet.

The fact that you cant find any negative things online means its good. People dont usually go on sites like epinions.com unless they want to bitch about how bad it is. Also, the more moving parts there are, the more there is to break is very naive, it has little to do with how many parts there are, and everything to do with the quality of the parts used. Audis are expensive for a reason.
I know someone who bought a POS chevy truck over a ford because he didnt want 4WD due to that exact statement about more moving parts. Now he is out 2 head gaskets and one RWD trans at 78K miles. My ford, i got at the same time, is at 127K and has never had a single mechanical failure. Again its quality of the parts that go into it that means more then anything else.
