Default How much it cost to replace the break pads?

Assume that I supply the break pads part to the mechanic shop, how much do you think is a fair labor price for the mechanic shop to charge me to replace the front and rear break pads?

Thanks[/align]

I tried. But for some reason, the thing do not have enough space to fit in the new pads, since the old pads has worn out, so its not as thick as the new one, and I don't know how to make it fit.

You gotta press in the piston in the brake caliper to get them to fit. The front caliper pistons can be pushed in with a C clamp with a small flat peice of wood against the piston..and you need a brake caliper tool (rent it from autozone for free) for the rear brakes. Def DIY. Save a lot. Doesnt take long. Probably wouldnt take you more than a couple hours to do all 4 for a 1st timer. Plenty of DIY aticles available on the net too.

Do it your self and get some nice pads instead of cheap ones you would have to replace in a 6 month.

OEM pads create a lot of dust, but last a long time. The dealer
gave me new pads at 50K mi. and they are still good at 118K mi.
