How many here uses K&N air filter and changed it to paper?

RE: How many here uses K&N air filter and changed it to paper?
Chris,
I bought the K&N last night at CDN tire for $60 on sale right now but after reading the forum I decided to buy the Fram CA8080 for $30. I could see how an over oiled K&N could damage the MAF. The air comes in from the bottom of the filter and into the manifold, and the MAF is right there between the filter and the entry to the manifold. So, any excess oil could eventually end up at the MAF.

Is the fram just a paper filter? if it is, then just buy OEM -- OEM is cheaper. I feel good about having OEM stuff on my car, when it comes to oil filters, air filters, bulbs, stupid stuff like that.

In like 2 weeks, i'm gonna follow you and be like "hey that *** has a burnt out taillight -- he must bought a cheap autozone one like a noob"
and then I'll smash my camaro into your car. Then I'll laugh, and we might go out for beers and nail some K&N ladies. When we're done with them, we'll go nail some Fram ladies (though they are prolly ugly -- we'll be plenty drunk by then)
After that, ... I'll sit you down, and explain... that OEM bulbs are better.

I bet it's close to 0.9 to the wheels. But I totally notice my car is slower now.

haha, I am serious about the 0.9 hp thing anyways... it's a waste of money... 1... maybe 2 hp... and you risk screwing up your maf. Plus oiling them is a PITA anyways... I'll stick with paper ones, and just pop a new one in. No downtime, no worries.
