how high is your clutch?
i was told my clucth needed to be altered. he says the releasing point ( friction point) is too hight up ( have to barely push the cluch-in to feel it). then another guy told me not to worry about it b/c its hydrolic. i would like my clutch to last me a while haha. so who should i believe ?

RE: how high is your clutch?
A friend of mine drives a 2002 TT, and he said the very smae thing about my clutch. I, for one, like that it catches high up, dont have to push it in as far to shift and such. So either, they vary from model to model, or this is a problem. Hopefully not the latter.

RE: how high is your clutch?
it is not a problem at all. it is known that our clutches engage/disengage at a very high point in comparison to other cars you may have driven. it does not need to be adjusted, just takes a couple drives to get used to.

wow...you know what I was thinking the clutch was bad on it becuase it grabs high..im used to the trans am clutch which grabs on the floor. I actually stalled the car a few times becuase of it.....but in my case the dealer who sold me the car the car let me have it for cheaper becuase I said the clutch was bad...my mistake worked to my benefit!!!!!!! yipeeeee!

RE: how high is your clutch?
Thats completly normal. Its only that way for the b5 a4's too. All other audis and other cars for that matter are never that high. Kinda makes me look like an *** driving other cars because i either stall it off the line or grind gears shifting untill i get used to it.
