Default How in the hell do you fit a fmic in between a 97 a4 front bumper and the radiator?????

I am not seeing how in the hell you are supposed to make that fit. There is no way. WTF?!?@!
Sry, just realized how much cutting would be required to make it work. Does anyone sell a quality intercooler kit for a 97 a4 1.8tq? I'm talkin like around 500 dollars, b/c I can make one for like 300 but if I could find one for only like 500, my time is worth more than my money. The cheapest I have seen has been like 850 -1100 for my car. Anyone that has a fmic or knows anything about doing this please give me some input. Sry about the long post.
Thanks.
Joshua

you are going to have to cut the **** out of your stock bumper if you wanna make it fit. talk to tom ritt, he did it on his car. lots of people went with rs4 front bumper or the rest of the kit and that will fit the fmic a little more easily.

Strangely enough the S4 bumper has more clearance for a FMIC than the RS4 bumper does.

I think SPP FMIC fits factory bumper without any modifications.
Atleast thats what I understood from what Eric, from SupremePowerParts.com, said.
But then again, its kinda out of the price range you mentioned.

Lol there is only one way...Magic

No its possible, dont buy a crappy ebay core if thats how you were planning on doing it for 300. Its tough to put one together for $500 even i think mine cost around 600 to build but its a spearco. as long as its no taller than 6" it will fit uner the bumper support. Mines a 3" core and honestly it doesnt fit. It pushes the bumper all over the place and i had to rivet some aluminum bar stock on the inside of the lower valence to stop it drom drooping like grannies *****

no I have a friend with a evo 20x6x2.75 that he is selling for 250 to me. Then for the piping, a friend of mine can do all of the welding, it's just gonna take all weekend. The piping is a little over 50 dollars through another friend who works in a metal shop. I also considered using thick rubber piping, someone else had done that and said it worked great, thick enough to where it doesn't crimp, but not solid so it can bend.
