VHT NiteShades. Then clearcoat. NiteShades comes in a spray can, you just clean your tails REALLY good (after you take them off the car, of course), then spray some coats of this on, then clearcoat for a shiny look.

Will it smear or run because that sounds pretty hard to do. Will the paint be affected when rained on?
What kind of clear coat?
Tint film makes more sence to me but i dont know how i would curve it around the tail light. I want a A+ job.. not somthing stupid

It'll only run if you spray to much at one time. Spray a couple of thin coats and let it dry "flash" for about 10 min. Then keeping repeating this process until you've reached the desired tint. Then spray with clear using the same procedure. If you've never painted anything you should read some type of tutorial on the correct way to spray. It's not hard though. Oh, and rain won't affect it. If you paint it right the rain will bead up just like your car.

I just used regular old clear coat that I bought at ACE Hardware...seemed to work out fine. And have you ever actually touched tint film? It's so thin and flimsy that I bet if you powerwashed your car you'd take em off. Spray on is the best way to go for exterior lights.
