How do I remove the driver door lock?
Here's the deal. The guy who owned the car before me probably had some problems with the lock on the door so he had it replaced. Now I have 2 keys. One (original) fits the ignition. The other fits the door.
I was thinking about removing the lock mechanisem from the back seat and install it instead of the one in the driver's door.
What do you think? Possible?

sorry to give you some bad news, but its not going to work. You need the exact same lock because it all fits together with the handle and internals back there. What you might be able to do is take out the door lock and take it to a locksmith who can adjust the pins so it will work with the key to your ignition. Other than that I dont think you have too many options without replacing the locks and ignition at the same time...

you can get a new door lock but you have to buy it through a dealership and they send your vin toe germany and a new one is laser cut to match the original, its like 280 for just the lock assembly but you have to but it to change it, i had to and it sucked but oh well

are the barrels really interchangable? when I swapped out my door lock it seemed like it was attached to the rest of the metal mechanism. It didnt seem like you could just pull the barrel out, but I didnt look too closely so I dont know for sure...

Welcome to owning an audi.
Replacing the locks really isnt too difficult. Same with the ignition column. You can get a set of locks, keys, ignition and fobs for under $200 from a auto recycler. I say do that and replace everything, if it really bothers you to have 2 keys that much.
