I was re-searching the HKS SSQV Blow off valve, and have a question. I see that say audi drivers could purchase the universal blow-off valve. But then what mounting hardware and such others things do you need to purchase to install it? Im looking for a diverter valve that will give me some squeak : ) although i know that most fellow audi drivers don't support that : (

 

its not going to be louder than any other dv when recirculated. Plus its $250 for the valve and another $50 or so for the new fittings to make it fit the stock locations. Dont waste your time or money to have it recirc. Plus if you vta, tha ssqv is REALLY annoying. That valve gets old in like a week. Get a forge004 if you want a bov

 

now whats the difference between a forge004 and a forge 007 thats everyone seems to be buzzing about?

 

the 007 is a dv that is built like the stock bosch 710 but uses a piston design for durability. The 004 is a twin piston bov that can not recirculate and works well with vag cars.

cincy...is it true that the bov can damage my car? i dont have any mods in my car, if ever i did put one without any mods will it run just fine for stock?

 

Get the forge 004. I have had mine now for a few months and love it.

in response to littleflavio it can only damage your car if you run a certain type on a pre 99 car. There are two kinds of BOVs ones that leak air in to the atmosphere at idle and ones that don't. This is porblematic on pre 99 cars because they can not adjust for the lack of air causing the car to run lean. Moral of the story if you want to run a BOV get a Forgee 004. yes it will run fine, just will not be that loud.
