RE: High rpms-clutch
Clutchmasters sells a stage 2 kit thats basically the same price as that south bend one, and with them you can get an aluminum flywheel as an option to any clutch as one easy kit. I dont think its required for the stage 2, but you can call and ask em.
and yeah it seems to co-incedental that he has done 7 clutches on 5 cars, STi, Turbo K20a Civic, 323 GTX, Turbo Miata, and This A4 3 times, and none have ever gone out, with the exception of BOTH the south bend ones.

Make sure you do your reasearch and get a good stage 2 clutch thats AWESOME for EVERY DAY DRIVING.
dont be like me and jump on a Stage 2 420hp/420tq setup thats for track use . as much as i love it i regret it at the same time because its a pain in the *** for daily driving. its too stiff and you cant ever be fully smooth like other clutches. i drive 30-40 audis every day and at least 25 are manual. i really wish i had a clutch that wasnt so stiff. the car would be so much more fun to drive everyday. On the track its a great setup though. HOLDS like a biotttttttttch!!!! AND the damn chatter from the 6pnd alum. flywheel is hell.
be smart when youre buying stuff thats going to be with you for a while.
thats my 02.

Thanks again guys.
18T, so you think that clutch would be ok? Cause if i buy that clutch + their flywheel that would be about $950. But there is another one also http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi?make=Audi&engine=1.8T&mod el=B6%20A4&submodel=Quattro&category=Drive train&subcategory=Clutch ES#5055
Yeah, this car is for a daily driving, and i dont want a stiff clutch. So you think that clutchmaster clutch wouldn't be so stiff???

RE: High rpms-clutch
Well my Clutchmaster is a Stage 4 but the pedel is not stiff, theres just not as much play as a stock one. instead of having half the throw of the clutch to slip it you get about an inch. A stage 2 shouldnt be like that though.
I dont know if Southbend is a BAD company per-se maybe they just had a bad run of clutches that were a mm off or something, but when they send TWO Defective products and one ends up causing damage to a perfectly fine trans and they start blowing off thier phone calls, thats sh*tty business practices. I will never recomend them to anyone ever again.
I have no say on RA4 though.

Both of them would come out the same (with a flywheel). What do u think???
And also, should i really change my stock flywheel?

Now if you track your car often, then yes go with the ECS stage 2.
also check out AWE tuning. they have a good setup.
