HID Xenon Flickering?

HID Xenon Flickering?
Well as some of you are aware my car is going into the shop for a decent amount of mods. I was just wondering what could be the cause of a flickering xenon? Its on the drivers side, and not only does it flicker, but its noticeably weaker than my other bulb. So i was thinking of possibly just replacing both with 8K, for a lil more bluish tint to them. But was quoted at $350 from the shop and then another $350 if I want the yellow fogs. And they claim its only that price because the front bumper would already be off fue to the FMIC being installed, basically saying it would be more JUST to have the bulbs done if I were to do it later. Is installing xenon bulbs and changing the fogs that hard? Is it something I could do myself in a couple of hours? Because $350 seems a little steep when all I need is the bulb...

My Xenons have been doing this occationally. I think its becuase the ballasts are not drilled into the body therefore the boxes bounce when I go over bumps in the road and causes them to flicker.

RE: HID Xenon Flickering?
Thanks for the quick reply, but Im talking bout at a complete stop, Its easily noticeable on the bumper in the car directly in front of me. If you stare at the bulb its not as bright as the other as well. So Im wondering if its a connector loose, or does this start to happen when the bulbs are dying out?

Switch bulbs, if the driver side still flickers then its the ballast or a connection, if not then you know its the bulb going bad. Also check for excessive heat after they're on for all long period. Heat kills bulbs, on the b5 the headlight is directly behind the power steering reservoir which gets really hot. After just one year the heat killed the bulb.
