Default Hey guys, need some info...

So basically I am pretty new here and also to Audi. I have always loved the A4s and always in the back of my mind wanted to tinker with one...well the time has come. Its sort of a sore subject because I am leaving behind the BMW scene, hopefully not forever, I cannot bash them...Just cant afford a new one right now...So please tell me how sweet the A4 can be!...[]

OK the question.

I am looking at about a 2003ish 1.8T. I see alot of 96-01s, and I just need a newer car so I thought I would go with the 02-03 one. However, during the searches to find parts and stuff to work with, I cannot find as much for the newer one. Example, I see FMIC all over for 01, but none for newer cars...(anyone know who carries one) and also, has the aftermarket embraced the newer ones as much so as the 96-01s? I cant really tell, like I said I am so new to these.

Looking foward to times, Ill keep you updated when I actually find my car, I am sort of sending out feelers for the best model...so any advice is appreciated.

well, if you are geeting one above 60k miles make sure it has all the service records. Make sure above that mileage it has the TB changed. Also, i know the coil packs crap out frequently so make sure it has the revised file. The are more links for parts available just look at the top of the forum page and there is a whol crap load of links.
