So I was dicking around tonight, trying to get some power ready to rig my V1 into that I am getting tomorrow (hopefully that ******) and anyways.

Also I am quite annoyed at the cell phone charger that is in my arm rest, that either the ******* before me installed, or else it was part of that factory phone option I keep seeing my manual, since there is some type of RJ11 port in the center also.

Anyways I was trying to disconnect it, and I lost my temper and just ripped the wire, in turn pulling all but the charger peice out from inside my console.

Actually none of this **** matters


here is the problem, all my dash lights, stereo, and buttons, don't light up, nore does the lights around the automatic shifter selection area anymore.


Here is my other issue, the lights around the shifter DO light up when the lights are on, and the engine is off, the moment I turn the engine on, ******* go out.

WTF did I bump or reset (btw I was playing with the code feature on the air conditioner dunno if I set something up there or not)

Cliff Notes; because I am tired and the woman needs to hear my sexy voice on the phone :

Turn on lights, gauges come on
stereo lights (stereo itself works) and button lights do not come on
but the lights around the shifter plate do, UNTIL, I start the car.


Fix me, btw changed/checked all fuses twice over... the ciggy lighter one was out, but I switched it, no dice as per fixing this though.

 

I think you need to take the rest of the phone charger thing out and make sure all wires are seperated. This sounds like the text book example of a short. good luck.
