Help WTF is this?

RE: Help WTF is this?
Anyway if you still have brake pads just look around the pad for a wire. It is on the pad on the back of the front rotor. It has a little u clip that holds it in, that clip could have busted and the wire come unhooked.
The MPH light is to tell you that you have set a speed that you want the car to warn you that you are speeding. When it pops up just hold down the button that you push (that does not reset the mileage on the trip meter) to do the system check. It will make an MPH with an X through it. If you have the car running and are at a stand still the button will do a system check. if you push the button while driving the button will set the MPH warning. If you pull the button and twist it will set the clock. (Way more than you ever wanted to know)

RE: Help WTF is this?
if you can get your finger between the caliper and rotor you should be fine for pads. If you stick your finger between the two about 1/4 inch down is your pad. If it is getting to the point where you can't stick your finger between the caliper and rotor (the calipers auto adjust tighter as the pad wears away) then the pad is pretty gone.

The computer will store 2 points for the MPH, so like 35 and 65, then if you are on surface streets it will come on at one speed and if you are on freeway at the other. I think it comes on 3 mph over the set point and goes off 6 or 8 over it. I like it when I am in hairpin turns because I always forget that I am speeding and it keeps me under control.

You should really invest in an owners manual. Lots of good info info in there. Also invest in a bently manual.
