Default Help w/ Air box mod

Wussup yall, Ive read around alot and decided that i absolutely have to mod my air box. Problem is, im a ******* newb that has no idea what hes doing when it comes to this kind of **** lol.. I've got somewhat of a sharp mind and i learn very quickly, is it possible for a guy like me to get my airbox out and do this thing or should I just not even try it? If so, can someone point me in the right direction for a guideline to get it out, etc? Thx.

I actually found the Airbox mod DIY a little misleading in its entirity, so I just decided to ghetto rig a filter onto the mass airflow sensor with some sealent and called it a day with a second heat shield. It gets the job done, the turbo and stock dv are very audible.

It's a really easy mod and it's so worth it just for the sound. You'll need a water resistant cotton filter preferably a K&N. I got mine from Auto Anything for like $30 bucks if I recall.
