Default Help! Need tire recommendation for A4 Avant

Hi All -

I'm new to the forum and need help re: tire selection.

Can someone shed some light on the best all-season tires for A4 Avant (quattro, sports package). I'd like to get a sense of what poeple like - my last set were Toyo Proxes which I haven't been very happy with (wear and ride). Don't want to spend more than necessary.

So far the tire places here (No CA) are steering this "gal" towards: Bridgestone Potenza G009, Pirelli P6, Michelin Pilot XGT Z4, Yokohama Avid H4S.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I purchased Fuzion ZRi of off tirerack about a month ago and I love them. 225/50R16s were only $75 a tire but I'm sold. The traction is excellent and despite a month of giving them hell I've noticed no signs of uneven treadware. They are very quite and have a soft ride (in every aspect they're better than the dunlops that were on the car when i got it). Some people are skeptical about bying $75 tire but i don't understand why. The warranties are tha same and tirerack backs them up with the same road hazard service they offer for every tire. Also, these tires were ranked 5th best out of 41 tires on tirerack. Well anyway, obviously I'm a little biass since I own a set but I still highly recommend them. Good luck with your decision!

I replaced my Pirelli's with BF Goodrich Traction T/A. I really like the tires plus they came with road hazard warranty, free balancing and rotation.
