help connection timming out..
hi im connecting a service history program to my car from dos it uses the tachobox interface and it says "unable to establish connection" the reason we're doing this is my mate bought an a4 96 which by looking at it i know the odo has been tampered with ( i can be wrong), so im using this program and interface we bought hopefully to bust the guy who sold this car to us...
anyway why is it when its trying to connect it times out saying unable to connect???
ive tried removing the "instrument cluster" fuse....
didnt help , ne other suggestions?

RE: help connection timming out..
What interface are you connecting with? A authentic Ross-tech tool? Other generic ones often times have trouble connecting to special modules like the instrument cluster. You can't reduce the number of miles of the instrument cluster electronically, you can only increase them.
