K so i was driving out of the car wash about 5mph and before i get 30 feet away my timing belt breaks. F###in great right. I have quotes to get it fixed from 3200- 6000 grand. Apparently some valves need replacing because the were probably bent. So i have a few questions.
1. Will the head need to be replaced. Keep in mind i have 132,000 on the clock.
2. How much are we talking if i do it myself. Is it an easy process? I know that the timing belt sucks but i have no clue about replacing the valves, etc. How much would it cost me to fix it myself? And if someone could give me a price quote on all of it that would be great.
Thanks

you will need to have the head inspected. it might just need rebuilding, but there is also the possibility the head is no longer good and you will need to buy another one.
if i were you i would remove the head, send it to a machinist, have him rebuild it, and then reinstall it myself. probly will end up running you under a grand. and you'll be much more comfortable with working on your car.
oh and if you have any big plans down the road, now would be the opportune time to drop in some rods, lower compression gasket, etc...
