Default Helix housings...

So I know this has topic was brought up last in 2005 but no real answers, so here goes.... I want to put some ecodes on, found this site that seems fairly legit I guess, but no way to really know. $260 sounds a little cheap, but more than ebay. Any thoughts?

I'm also considering the smoked version, think it might look good on silver, but a little scared of the rice effect.

I dont want to sacrifice light output, but definately want to upgrade my housings at some point. Has anyone had experience with these Helix housings??

Ok did some more research on AZ and AW found out that they are actual ecodes, but the housings themselves arent too good of quality. Apparently still better than the stock 96 headlights. I think I might get them, clear silcone the **** out of them and slap them on. Still any input by members with them is appreciated.

With all the things that I have purchased off of eBay in the past - for my cars or for my home - you can usually look around the web and find someone selling the exact same thing for 2-3 times the cost. If it makes you feel better about the quality if you pay more then go right ahead.
I'm not saying everything on eBay isn't absolute **** and needs to be buried, but take a little closer look and you might find what you were looking for, for a lot less.

Here is your first set - looks the same to me

yeah I know what you are saying, and thats why im trying to research all this. You are right those ebay lights look exactly like the ones on that I put up. The one thing is after reading some posts on a few other sites, I found out that the Helix brand lights, do infact have decent output, and keep a clean ecode "line". So at least I know that that cheap brand works, as opposed to buying on ebay and having no clue what could come out. From what I read the Helix's seem to be doing others fairly well, and giving out more light than the stock housings.

Ok - just tryin to help save a buck thats me

One more thing before I go - don't confuse "cheap" with "inexpensive". There is a lot of cheap **** on eBay but there are also some inexpensive deals to be had. just have to keep your eye's open

Good luck keep us posted

I would love to, but I can never seem to find them. Or if I do someone has already snatched them up
