I have a 97' A4, and Ive decided to get new head and tail lights. I was thinkign e-codes for the front, and unsure about tail lights

How much should I be paying for ecodes. And I have two-piece headlights. Do they make two-piece e-codes, or exactly what modification is nessecary to install one-pieces?

I want tails as well. I hate the yellow on mine. Are 99.5+ tails just red and clear, or what are some clean looking tails, and how much should they cost?

 

My 98 has red and clear tails, and as far as I know, they are the stock tail lights. I did buy the car used though..... I would search Ebay or the for sale section of these forums. I noticed a few guys parting out their vehicles the other day, but I don't remember what years their cars where.

 

go to audidiy.com and check out the one pc headlight mod. that will show you everything that needs to be done. if you want real ecodes then they are expensive. You can find some 2pc RS4 style ones on ebay for around $150 shipped. that what I will eventually be upgrading to since I want to be able to return to stock if need be.

I say upgrade your rear to 99.5+ tails thats red with a white line on the bottom half of the middle (98-99 have gray line on the top middle) they look the best - all other aftermarket rears look out of place and take away from the car

yeah those are the correct tails - just watch ebay and pick up a used set or if you really want pick some up from ecstuning.com, I think they have them. Headlights I would get these CLICK HERE and then pick up a HID converison kit form visionbulbs.com (use coupon code of "audiforums")

 

Then I do just have the stock lights.....good to know I suppose.
Did you check the classifieds section on these forums like I told you???? I don't think you did, or you would have found this link here....this guy (ateurv8) looks like he can get you your lights .....supposedly has an unlimited supply....

Are these the Valeo ones? OEM quality? or cheap knock-offs?

 

other member have them and havn't complained about the quality. What color is your car? black'd out headlights only look good on a black car. IMO

 

97' 1.8TQA Pearl White, like the one in your sig. I have a black'd RS4 rep gril, and Im getting 40-50% tint, so I want thinkign blakc would tie into that.
