i have a 98 a4 1.8t quatro 5spd, when i go to turn the headlights on they dont come on, only running lights in corner, i checked the bulbs and there good and i disconnected the wiring and reconnected and i checked the fuses and everything is still good. i think that there a either a short or a bad ground somewhere but i have no idea where to start looking, has n e one ever had this problem before? plz i need the help bc im trying to sell the car and kinda cant if the lights dont work.

 

try and flash your high beams. if they work its most likely a fuse or a switch in your steering column. there's more fuses behind your dash
