Default Has this happened to you

Your out for a quick run to the store. You jump in start moveing adjust your seat becuase it just dosent fell right and the F***ing back poped off. The top half stayed on but the bottom just came right off. "The plastic cover on the back". I checked it out to see what happened and it looks like there was never a clip or anything. It is a rough surface on the edges where it should be holding. Running your hand acrost it fells like it just riped right off.

Anyone ever had it happen and how do you fix it if there no clips might I be stuck useing some glue to get it back. "Have some very strong aryilic glue that I can use"

No, it hasn't.

If you are gluing It, I would reccomend liquid nails. It takes a while to dry, but it holds very well. Another good one is JB-Weld. Its super strong, and works on plastics as well.
In fact, for plastic, I would say JB-WELD would work better.
Good Luck! Any pictures of the damage? Sounds like you need to diet..... JK!

I have never had the whole back of the seat fall off...i would say use JB-WELD becuase that stuff is very very very strong and it most likley wont fall off again

but i have had the buttons fall off and the cover to the seat belt(the part where you push the button to move it up and down)

My girlfriends 1998 A4 has the same problem on the passenger seat. I can't figure it out and the pressure to hold it back in place is huge!

Actually taking apart the whole thing is not hard at all. There is 3(4) big greenish and blackbolts facing you on top, 2 on side of door lock under rubber cap, 1 on opposite side under rubber cap, and 1 at the bottom of rail. dont forget tounscrew the motor.once you take them off whole window frame come up, but be careful cuz that wire is under great pressure but not really deadly. Another thing all of these screws are so soft so BE CAREFUL not to strip them or brake them, believe me its a pain in @55 to drill them out.
