I think cincy just gets angry because most of this info has been posted before. He does take quite a bit of time finding resources to answer our questions.

it actually doesn't take much time, if any depending on the question, to answer these types of questions. all you need to do is learn how to search. or just spend some time on the forums reading and learning.. and im not just talking about here. im talking about the 3 other main forums other than this place. you will find LOADS more information by getting out and looking around the internets..

can't speak for Cincy, but i usually do get made stating the same things over and over and over etc etc..... it gets old, very fast. especially when people don't want to understand how you got the answer. they just want the answer now.. which then you usually end up having to explain that..

i actually got so tired of it over on Audi zine, that i created this------->http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113728

seems to have worked pretty well so far

I dont believe so, cincy told me that the iron manifolds are great, less reisistant to cracking then say custom manifolds that would be the other choice if you went bt. or w/e

custom manifolds? are you refering to a tubular manifold? because if you are they are far stronger than any log/cast manifold that you will find.. this is of coarse, if they are built right. like the Full-Race and 034 units..

but that isn't your only option. there are many manifolds available for the 1.8t.. the ATP T25/T3 log manifold is very reliable. it's only downfall is placing the turbo closer to the headlight which ends up resulting in a hard to fab intake setup..

then there is the treadstone cast manifold. equal length and i have never seen or heard of it cracking..

and the APR mani. it is great. have only heard of it cracking a couple times. but APR gives a lifetime warrenty with it.

wow, this is intence. QUESTION: i know some BT setups run BOV's without running rich, but others like APR's run DV's. how cna i know what software is designed for what?
The sw doesnt matter, what valve you choose does. A forge004 or a better yet atial 50mm will work best.

the APR 3+ kit makes just as much if not more power and u dont have to worry about shitty ATP mani's cracking but u do pay almost double for it all! The APR is a nice kit and makes good power, but you can get the same turbo and perfomace for a lot less. ALSO, the STOCK style replacement are the ones that are know to crack, not the t25/t3 log manifold. They had a bad run a couple years ago, but that had long since been corrected.
really.... how much less? with apr software?
you can make a setup for close to $3-3.5k depending on parts used and where they are sourced.

ATP manifold and dp = $900
t3 60trim = $700
injectors = $300
sw/chip = $800
oil lines (no coolent lines) $100 or less
little more for odds and ends.

stock clutch cant handl it?
stock quattroclutches should be able to handle close to 300ftlbs on the 240mm clutch. Stock fwd tt/gti/jettas have 212mm and upgrade to a crappy vr6 228mm setups

Dont take it so personally. There seems to be a little bit of misinformation in most of your posts, which is probably why cincy unleashed his wrath on you like that []
