RE: gt2871r or gt28r
What will you need?
Full exhaust, turbo manifold (if not eliminator)
injector upgrade (depends on what tune)
Upgraded silicone intake hoses
ECU tune to make it all work ect.
APR should be able to put it all together for you, but REVO is better IMO.

first how whats the differnece between these two turbos? The gt28r is rated around 300hp and the gt28rs is rated for around 350hp. Their is a $3-400 price difference because the gt28r isnt a true dbb turbo like the gt28rs is. Both will spool about the same, but the power there is a power differnece involved.
HP gains? most fwd cars make 280-300whp on a gt28r and 290-320whp on the gt28rs (depends on sw and other mods
what supported mods? the hardware is self explainitory (manifold, dp, oil and coolent lines, tuning, etc) but a fmic will be needed
2.5 or 3 inch exhast? 2.5" will be enough, 3" will be a little better, but louder (2.25 is to small... stock is 2.17)
1/4 times? should be high 13's vs low13's/high12's
what stock parts need to be upgraded? everything covered above
where can i get the kits? atp longitude hw kit, with unitronic 630cc/Revo 440cc file (local or mail in dealer) and seimans injectors (usrallyteam.com)
etc...
i tried searching didnt come up with much You can also get gt28rs perfomance with a $700 internally gated t3 60trim, ~same outputs, can use same sw files, and can get all the HW from atp. It will save you about $400 in total.
thanks

RE: gt2871r or gt28r
i wouldnt say REVo is better but the GT series will be cheaper over all with REVo software and similar results
the APR 3+ kit makes just as much if not more power and u dont have to worry about shitty ATP mani's cracking but u do pay almost double for it all!
and im pretty sure the above post covered everything else i wanted to say!

i wouldnt say REVo is better but the GT series will be cheaper over all with REVo software and similar results What?!?! This make 0 sence. If your comparing Uni vs Revo, Revo would get killed in reliabilty and output. The cost is about $200 cheaper for revo instead of uni, but im guessing you didnt even know that

The APR is a nice kit and makes good power, but you can get the same turbo and perfomace for a lot less. ALSO, the STOCK style replacement are the ones that are know to crack, not the t25/t3 log manifold. They had a bad run a couple years ago, but that had long since been corrected.
and im pretty sure the above post covered everything else i wanted to say! Just keep tellin yourself that buddy.
