Going in tomorrow...

Going in tomorrow...
One of my Christmas presents this year was a new timing belt (exciting, I know).
My dad decided he would rather take it to the dealer than having it done somewhere else for less, and since he is paying for it, im not complaining.
However, I have a laundry list of other things, and would like to know which I should bring up to the dealer.
- CEL
- piece of lowers broken off
- sunroof damage
- cracked speaker cover
- lack of power from my lighter where I plug in my phone and radar detector.
The worst part about that list, is that 3 of them came up within the last week.
What kind of cost am I looking for on these things (I know the CEL could be anything), and what can I do myself?

RE: Going in tomorrow...
No kidding... I asked the mechanic at VW to check the Transmission Fluid as a favor while they were adjusting the Headlight... He came back with $2,200+ worth of problems. Not to mention, half of them were fabricated. "So, what you're telling me is... My CAS is bad. Even though I'm not throwing a code, and my engine is running perfect?" To which he responds "Sir, I don't think you understand. We have diagnostic equipment here that tells us everything that's wrong with your car. You need to have this fixed or you engine will blow up!" to which I responded, "Hey buddy, go fück yourself... How about that?"
I'd recommend finding an independant shop to do work like that.

Well, personally, I'll work on the car as much as I can... But when it comes to things like that, where I'd rather have a plan to cover my ***, I prefer to let a shop take care of it. With the Audi at least, I'll work on any of my other cars all day long.

When I had my VR6, I took it in to have the cd changer replaced. When I went to pick it up, they said that my rotors were bad and they would need to be replaced. Why would they be looking at the brakes when it's in for a cd changer? They are all crooks. Every single stealership. What was funny about the situation is that my brakes were flawless. Not a single squeak or anything. When I pulled out of the stealership, they were squeaking... Imagine that. I hate those people.

Easy dude, some people just plain cant turn a wrench. Its not your money, don't get frustrated. Besides, you think you could pull a timing belt job off in reasonable time and have it run right? Unless you know what your doing, these cars are a pain to work on.
