God awful smell..please help
Hey all,
So heres the scoop. My car has been smelling like rotten something or other for around 3 weeks now. I have tried a lot of things to get rid of the smell, air freshiners, leaving my windows open for 3 days straight, and even getting the carpets shampooed. Nothing has worked, the smell is still there and im starting to think its somehting in my ventilation ducts( maybe a dead mouse). Is there anyway a mouse or animal could get in there? and if there is does anyone know how i could get in there to see if anything is in there? I have searched and found nothing.
Thanks alot

Could be. The alternative is that someone spilled something on the carpet. Milk makes a god awful smell if carpet gets wet.
Try to pinpoint if the smell is coming from your ventilation system. Open the windows to air the car out, turn on the fan and sniff the vents.
