And the guy at the Autobarn dealer said it was just a flash which will take an hour which costs $120 + parts

 

nope but your bloody close, you can buy flash data of eBay but you need the tools to implement it and it only works with the newer cars

 

Ah i see so basically it would be more $$$ to get set up but could be a private/backyard dealer afterwards so to speak.

I didn't see it on ebay under flash data what else would it listed under.

 

either way i wrote an email to giac about this.

we need to start a petition to have RENN ART be a dealer. they will never charge for labor or aynthing like that.

they are good people over there. i even told giac that they are loosing a large customer base to other tuners becasue of dealers like Autobarn Motorsports.

they are all most likely ****. when it comes to diagnostics and tuning i dont trust ebay.

Exactly that is the most they could possibly charge you and that is if they have to solder it in.
