And the car is simply awesome! The boost peaks at 22 psi and holds steady at 19-20 psi. However, when I hit about 5000 rpm under load, the boost "sometimes" (about half of the time) becomes very erratic.

Just got it done this afternoon, so I haven't had much of a chance to try to diagnose the problem. But here is what I observed:

1. High rpm with little load (~12 psi)--no problem.

2. Low rpm (<4500 rpm) with high load (~19 to 20 psi)--no problem.

3. High rpm (>5000 rpm) with high load (~18 to 20 psi)--erratic boost.

On the phone with the shop I'm told my MAF may be marginal and is intermittently weirding out (my words). I cleaned it tonight and may just order a new one, but has anyone else experienced this?

 

did u get larger injectors or did u get the basic K04 programming

 

I don't know if it's "basic" K04 programming because I did need a 5 bar fpr (which is in), but I did not go with larger injectors.

 

I thought you had to get the larger injectors for the K04 programming?

J/K I bought the car used and have not changed the filter. It has 58k on it now. Sounds like my Saturday is planned for me!

 

You can do either larger injectors or a bigger fuel pressure regulator.
