GIAC FX
Originally I was saving to get straight into the K04, but the Fx seems like a step in that direction and I can't wait anymore.
Definately plan on going with the tt225 injectors. Do I need a new FPR to run these?
Also, will the stock spark plugs blow my coil packs? What should i switch to if they do?

RE: GIAC FX
i dont think you will need a new FPR but then again i could be wrong... from what i have heard you dont because the new GIAC software takes care of it... im about to go this route as well once i get my current programming to work properly... and yes the new larger injectors give you more horsepower... but only if you have the correct programming to go with it, you cant just throw them in and expect a 30hp gain...
...hope that helps

RE: GIAC FX
I have a 2002 1.8T........I called up AWE, where i plan on getting this done, and they said stock spark plugs are fine, but I read a lot of people getting copper spark plugs in a hotter range for a better idle. Not sure what to think anymore. Should I change the plugs? Does it matter?

RE: GIAC FX
You should be ok with stock plugs. But if you are regularly boosting over 19 or 20 psi then you would want to go one heat range COOLER. Use copper for sure. I switched to BKR7E which is one heat range cooler than stock (BKR6E) just for fun (i boost about 20) and there is a noticeable difference in how it pulls in higher rpm's but a little more laggy in the lower rpms. Im thinking they might be a tad too cold for my driving habbits like city driving in stop and go stuff. I plan on switching back to BKR6E. If you do mostly highway driving and boost over 19 or 20 id say give bkr7e a shot.

WOW.........just WOW
Just got it done today and the difference is INCREDIBLE. I can't believe how fast it picks up.
If your engine is stock YOU NEED TO GET CHIPPED! Don't even think about it, just do it...................ARE YOU STILL STANDING THERE?!??! GO!!!!!!!!!!!
FYI, if you think keeping the stock program to switch back to when you want stock mileage, ain't happenin'. However, when driven conservatively, the performance program improves mileage. I kept the stock just because my dad doesn't believe in aftermarket performance and 50$ is worth me seeing his jaw drop.
