i think its for how much airflow that is moving in the box but im not sure thats a guess...

The ICM is on the top of the airbox, along with the EVAP purge valve, and a few other wires run near it, they can all be moved.

when you put on the cone filter, what did you do with those sensors or wires on the top of the airbox? what are those anyways... temp?
They get moved out of the way. The only thing that is plugged into the airbox on top is the maf wiring which just gets plugged into the maf when you use it with the cone filter. The other stuff isnt actually bound to the air box, it just sits up there.

Here are the pics:

I'm thinking of getting a metal intake tube from the MAF to the throttle body.

Secured with small nut/blot combos

I left the bottom airbox in as you can see...

No intake leaks here. Everything is sealed perfectly, and I haven't had one CE light.


I just put the orange thing on the top of the airbox under the maf.

just did the same sorta thing to mine today, very similar, cheap filter and adapter, sounds pretty nice, i also have holes drilled into the mudgaurd
