If I just call the dealer, is it possible for them to generate a code for the radio based on the serial and vin i give them

 

Well it wouldnt hurt to ask. But they might not, due to the fact that it could easily be a stolen radio

Also you need the number that starts with AUZ, and the VIN

 

Had to do this with my radio, it was in Safe Mode from where the Dealership disconnected the battery... Audi charged me $60 for that... Hahaha, God I love being bent over.

Really i dont see how they could have charged you
it only takes about five minutes at the max and can even be claimed under warranty if your car is still covered
But they are the ones that forgot to put in the code anyways, after disconnecting the battery

 

ok hate to ask.. but did you check around your car for the code?
