Gasoline & stuff

Gasoline & stuff
so for the last few months i have been unemployed, and had been running regular 87octane (to keep my savings from dwindling as fast) from the local wawa.
well today i got my first check from my new job, and just so conveniently was on E.. so i filled it up with 91 from sunoco.
well i must say i dont know weather it is the difference in octane or the quality of fuel, or if i had just gotten used to the lack of responce from lower grade gas.. but i can deffinatly feel the difference and it feels stronger through every gear even crusing at 60 the car is more responsive and accelerates , where as before the car would just seem flat and lifeless, either way i like the difference and am deffinatly suprised.. the car even spin the tires shifting into 2nd tonight on a dry road (has never done anything remotely like that ever)
but i am aware that when the car starts running perfect something will break, so to void this possible jinxing
i need a rear wheel bearing
and new control arms
(oh and im knocking on wood)
there was really no point to this, other then to show how much of a difference can be had with a different grade or brand of gasoline, so if you are running reg, go fill up with the good stuff.. and see if you get the same results.

RE: Gasoline & stuff
Youd only save a few bucks per fill up by using 87 compared to 91-93 oct. I dont see the point in skimping, but a buck is a buck i guess if you are unemployed... The knock sensor will keep your engine from knocking when using low octane, but it wont make the engine perform the same as if you were running higher octane. So your feeling of gains in performance is real, not just the weather...
