Haha yeah, im going to the track this fri,and hoping to lay down some nice times. I really dont consider a wrx a good kill from a roll from 3rd, cuz lets be honest, they have nothin up top, its all down low. I raced a modded one through 1st and 2nd and we were dead even. Stock one i would take it.

first of all, you better hope the Z is bone stock. this is what we're talking about right now.. because i have a friend who has 70whp over stock with only N/A mods on his Z!.. and when he sprays he lays down close to 400hp!

yeah.. like i said, there are exceptions to some k04 turbo'd cars that have a ton of extra work done to them, but it's definitely only about a 15whp (+- a couple hp) difference between a k03 sport and a k04.. but there's obviously more difference between the older k03's and a k04 though.

250hp is extremely high for a k04.. [:-] you must be talking crank hp... also remember that the drivetrain loss is way higher on our AWD setups... so watch out on the rolls!

also the powerband of these tiny turbos are very short and peaky... the six cylinder has a long and strong powerband.

soon you will all have a much better option available for a simple bolt-on turbo (hence staying with your stock manifold and being able to keep all your current mods... such as your downpipe and exhaust).. what is it?.. it's the new bolt-on ATP garrett turbos! with these you will be able to run and often beat most quick cars on the street!

you're looking at only a few hundred more vs. a k04 upgrade and you can get up to 100hp more than a k04!

I agree with most all ur points. I just dont trust atps (turbotecs) software. I hate lag, and i think it will be noticable on the elims. I will prolly either either get the gt2x or go with a custom dahlback ko4 setup when i decide to change. But the gt2x will not have atp software in it.

Oh man.. the lag is nothing .. believe me!

people get confused when they hear that the turbo isn't fully spooled until about 3800rpm... power comes on early (2800rpm) ... it already has more power than a k04 at it's peak!.. just look at the graph:

also, remember that TURBOTEC from Finland is a quality chip tuner... it's not ATP's tuning... which in the past was known to be shaky.

that's the gt2x turbo.. which is a great choice.. but i'd opt for the gt28rs.. which is what i run myself, and the lag is so minimal.. the lag it's about the same as a stock EVO8 turbo.. so if you get to test one of those, you'll know.

Depends on the driver. But the G35 has about 243 at the wheels and weighs about 300lbs less. So he would win, unless he is a bad driver. I had one for the week for a business trip and I think those are a piece of **** on the interior. I'm happy with my B6
