G-Tech Pro SS (Super Street) Performance Meter
Just grabbed one from eBay.
Retail: $199 + Shipping
I won an auction for $153.50 and it included free shipping.
Arrived Brand new in the box.
I was anxious to rip it out of the box and play with it.
Opened the box, cool looking little gizmo.
Takes a few minutes to get it set up and installed.
Took it for a test run and here were the results:
0-60: 7.66 seconds (incorrect)
1/4 Mile: 10.4 seconds (VERY incorrect)
HP: 142 (incorrect)
Torque: 939lbft !!! (Only slightly incorrect)
Overall opinion of it:
$20 toy, it's worth it.
$150-$200 Performance gauge......no way, jose'.
She's going back on eBay as soon as I have a chance to play with it for a few more days.
If the readings get a little closer to accurate or if I change my opinion - I'll be sure to post.
As for now - not impressed. Save your $$$, folks.

Did another test run.
0-60: 7.3 seconds (still incorrect)
1/4 Mile: 10.1 seconds (still VERY incorrect)
HP: 145 (still incorrect)
Torque: 868lbft (Still a tiny bit off)
Not sure what it's going to take to make this thing read right, but I was able to check a few add'l stats.
I was only able to get one reading on the HP and it was at 4,260RPMS.
The 60ft launch time was 2.3 seconds.

Yeah, thats why I was leary of these.
I could not figure out how it could be very accurate.
Get a vag-com and you can measure it accurately. Maybe some other brands work differently.
There are some that I have seen that plug in to the cars computer port, and actually measure the HP and all from there. But, it was for a truck, don't know if they have them for Audi's.

Yeah, well....that's the thing.
I have set it up, based on their directions, as accurately as I think it's able to be set-up.
There are only slight variations between the 2 runs I posted, but the results are definitely VERY wrong in some cases.
That leads me to believe that the device is consistent, just wrong.
I'll screw with it a few more times to see if I can get the right formula, but at this point - I'm no longer expecting it to be accurate.

Sport Suspension on a car with under 2k miles on it.
As far as setting it correctly - it is perfectly set for Redline, RPM, G-Force, Ground Leveling, and pitch.
Not sure how to get it much more accurate than that.

Today's run was definitely more appealing to me, but don't know if it's correct:
0-60: 5.7 seconds (??)
1/4 Mile: Didn't register
HP: 214 (Closer)
Torque: 1368lbft (Just whack)
The 60ft time was 2.6 seconds.
