Default Front Sway Bar Removal

The 4 bolts holding the sway bar to the car don't have heads on them, how are these to be re tightened or taken off?

Up. I don't understand how to retighten these bolts when putting it back together. Bolts spin freely.

Did you take the sway off already?

Here's the steps from that write up.
[ol][*]Slightly loosen the lug nuts on your front wheels [*]Jack up the car at the most forward jack point (see manual if you don't know where it is). In addition to the jack, place a jack stand just adjacent to the jack itself (this is a safety measure) [*]Jack the car up so the front wheel is about 2-3 inches off the ground [*]Remove wheel, set aside [*]Remove plastic shroud under the engine by using a standard screwdriver...there are about 6-8 attachment points that hold it to the car...including two in the wheel well. After it is removed set aside shroud and plastic nuts. [*]Gradually remove all nuts...should be two sets of two bolts near the center...and the 17mm bolts at the bar ends. [*]Gradually lower bar and remove. [/ol]

So, if this is not making sense (I have never changed mine) The next best piece of advice I can give would be to go and get a Bently or Haynes manual, it should have the proper procedure for replacing the oil pan, and removing the sway.

Maybe the bolts you have are stripped, and need replaced.

Thanks acetrebo. It doesn't really make sense, haynes manual doesn't shed any light on this either. I may end up replacing the bolts and holding them in place from the top with a 2 foot ratchet extension while tightening on the bottom! I just don't get why the bolts would have round heads. I'll figure it out!

An update. The bolts i'm talking about are not supposed to spin free but for some reason i have one that does. I will try to weld it or something so that i can use it as normal. maybe some sort of super glue will hold it tight enough for me to get the rusty bolt off the end. Lesson learned: clean the ends of bolts before trying to use them!
