I can't make my bloody mind up! Peeps seem to up every single chip out there. Giac seems the best, but APR has a little more hp according to their bumph.... Which is best?? I know about the search feature, and have looked at all the posts I could find, but **** all conclusive came up... Please help!

I have APR. I think, across the board, it doesnt matter.... go with who you like more.

Either chip will be fine. If you plan on getting a k04 eventually get giac. Apr doesn't make sofware for the k04. Otherwise go with the closest tunner. If you ever have any problems you can just go back to the shop. I have GIAC and i like it.

 

Its also worth thinking about which manufaturer is closest to you, just incase you have issues.

 

I have APR, but either APR or GIAC is fine. Use the one from the tuner closest to you.

 

I have the GIAC chip and haven't had any problems at all with it. Really love it. The only thing that made my mind up for me was that there was a dealer/installer shop for GIAC within an hour of me. So that was an obvious choice maker for me.

 

Thanks for all the input chaps. APR is nearest to me, and as its an auto, probably not worth the agro of gong for a turbo upgrade as well... I'll just have to make sure the 200 bhp will be enough! My last car was 300 bhp MR2 Turbo!

 

yeah if youre not super serious about modding, you should be plenty happy with the chip. what happened to your mister2?

 

APR should give you more then 200 bhp. Should be 209 .
