Hmmm. Just spoke with him again...Me "Why are you getting rid of it?"Him "Well, I've had it a few years, and I guess it's time to move on - get my debts straight, etc."And he said it's NOT inspected..... I think I'm still gonna look at it...

opinions are worthless because it what you want that counts ( if YOU like it buy it ) but try to get the price lowered which is common sense, he asks 9k you offer 6k then let the bidding start

I would do 2important things if youre serious about the car:
1 Car Fax
2 Stop by Autozone on your test drive and have the ecu scanned for any fault codes.
Honestly, as long as it sounds/drives/shifts well, and there is no CEL, it should be alright. It would also be worth a visit to a shop (or your driveway) and take a good look underneath for any major leaks, etc.
Also, try to find out if the timing belt has been done... If not, its overdue and thatll cost you anywhere between $300-1000 depending on if you or a shop does it. Or, $1300 at the dealer. That would be a huge negotiating point for you. If he doesnt know when its been done, then you can only safely assume that it needs changed and that is going to cost you right away.

Awesome points. He claims he's the second owner. I was headed to Autozone tonight with it or tomorrow. Whenever I look at it. It kinda bugs me that it's not inspected. I may actually drop 75 bucks into an inspection if he'll let me just to see what else it needs before buying.75 is worth saving a 6500 dollar mistake, I think.Speaking of mistakes. That burgundy one is still parked out front my house. Dude hasn't come to get it yet. Pisses me off I can't drive it. It was such a nice car. Too bad it's got so many issues. Thanks again for the help!
