the skid plate also smooths out the air under the car making it more areodynamic. You wont really notice it much unless your doing like 80+ on the highway though. Mines gone and i deffinatly feel it at high speeds.

Oh yes he has a point. The drag is reduced with the skidplate in place.

your airbox takes in the air from the grill, an aftermarket intake isnt going to pull air from down there unless you put the filter down there (not recomended... waterlock). Keep the plate if you got it.

And yes it is a pain, i have do take it off everytime i mess with the brothers car, but if you drive fast or on rocky roads, you will be happy you kept it.

Its off for the moment. Once I get the new valve installed I'll put it back on. Luckily its still in one piece.

well i didnt run mind on my audi for over 2 years and had 0 problems and im sure i was a hell of alot lower then most people. havent run one on my evo and have been up to 140 a number of time with 0 problems. so do as you will
