Yeah I have read all about the $150 diy fmic....a couple of times just because that price is so attractive. I have read accounts where people love them, and then read about others saying not to touch an ebay fmic. I have come to learn that you pay for what you get, and when I have skimped in the past on my a4, I ended up regreting it (clear corners as an example). That's not to say that someone couldn't engineer a solid working diy fmic, and I totaly believe Bishop's performance claims.
On a side note...it seems like a lot of people from the AZ boards have this fmic, and love it .......... hands down.

i no they all swear by it hands down, thats why i went with the same thing. You have to do research on what stuff to buy on ebay now a days but by no means will you regret everything you buy from them. If your really thinkin bout doin this (which would be smart), look for a guy with the name just_intercoolers who sells every size you can get. For piping look for CXRacing who happens to be the same person. Great person to buy from and you will obiously not regret it.

I ran some pre and post FMIC installation logs using VAG-COM to see the difference with my Intake Air Temperature. Please don't give me a hard time, I know the graph is far from perfect but I plotted the before/after data just to show you the difference in IAT.

less_of_me: Look up the seller (just intercoolers) on ebay they have good fmic.

Josh: That piece is for making the flange that holds my boost sensor. I guess I could also cut it length wise and use it to mount the ic. But will probably just tack some steel together.
