FMIC Power Increase?

RE: FMIC Power Increase?
ORIGINAL: tractioncontrol
The boost cooler is a box filled with ice that the intercooler coolant runs though every pass the box has to have the water dumped to fill it back up with ice, it runs about 40 degrees with a 90 degree abient outside temp and the EGT showed the same results (trust me I found it hard to believe when I first saw it).

That still doesnt sound like it would make your EGT's 50 degrees cooler unless you had a sparkplug not firing.

woah wait... i never said cooler exhaust gases... that was the other guy, i was correcting his mistake... im sure it was merely and accident... and if i did... i didnt notice... but u probably know what i meant.
i know turbos... ive dealt with them aot and done a few builds myself.
but he's right. poster got his answer. thread is dead.

RE: FMIC Power Increase?
dang...i always thought regardless the size of the turbo...a fmic would add hp. colder intake charge....more power. common logic. regardless of the turbo size, the piping is what makes all the difference. if anyone would like to suggest differently, please....do so. but i had a fmic on my car....chipped, testpipe.....blah blah blah, but i always noticed farrr more pick-up *snappy, if you will* when i had the fmic.
*** dyno perhaps??
w/e. it added something.

RE: FMIC Power Increase?
wait... can we clarify? am i the douchebag?
all i gave was facts that i know...
ICs cool air, cooler denser air=better.
they loose boost, thus loss of power. therefor if u can keep boost back at its normal setting, u will see best power saving.
also probably keeps the intake manifold (heres where people though i said exhaust) cooler.
will help prevent heat soaked intake air in summer.
if this forums calls people who answer questions and give feedback douche bags... maybe i should leave.

RE: FMIC Power Increase?
Sorry, I should have been more specific. The jerk-off who responded to my question and several others with an insult instead of a simple answer is the Douchebag. I think by reading the thread, we can all figure out who that was. (hint...eurwaudi1.8)
To everyone else, I appreciate the answer(s) although I think i'm a little more confused now than I was before, but no worries. I'll stay away from the FMIC for now. Thanks.
