First Oil change on 02 3.0
Ive had the Car for about 3 months and i jsut hit 3k on the oil that was changed when i bought the car, ive been reading the forums and i found out all the viscosity to use and so many quality oils to use. I went to ECS and bought there oil change kit that comes with a Mann filter and 7 quarts of Pento Full Synth 0w40. I havent seen this on the pages but i assume its good becasue its listed on ECS tuning and people here swear by ECS stuff. I also order a K&N air filter and fuel filter i dont know what was changed when but for the prices i found im not going to chance it. I also bought some Justice Brothers Engine Tune up. Ive read that the 3.0 needs 6.3 liters if im using the engine tune up should i deduct the amount of oil from what i put in for the tune up. and is this going to cause me to have to change my oil anay sooner then 4-5k like im planing.
Thanks in Advance

its a brand new car...right? dont put some crappy engine tune up in it... use the biggest mann filter that'll fit ur car (if they offer diff sizes like in the 1.8t) buy urself some mobil1 0-40 and change ur oil every 3k like clockwork. i change mine after less than 1000 miles cuz my roomate works for a unnamed oil place and gives me my mobil 1 for free.
oh i c its an 02. how many miles?... still u dont need some additive crap...

No the car is a 2002 A4 3.0 with 80k(and this is in my SIG), i got it at a dealer who's done "maintence" to it, i hear alittle ticking when im at idle and im not sure what is normal for the car thats why im doing the fuel treatment, i dont know anything about the histroy car was bought at auction and im dont trust the dealer. So im doing everything i can to insure that it has a long life. Once i take care of the Maintenance on it then i can concentrate on visual mods, got the car to loko good not go fast.

Uh, yeah you can. ECS rips off its customers with their outrageous shipping. You can get everything you need for an effective oil change at your local parts store. If you're picky you can use a dealer filter.

I jsut ordered it online i am expecting delivery sometime next week so i will deff look for that really didnt cross my mind, For those of you who do your own oil, should i expect anything that would be normally un expected, like iver read the oil comes out with authority so i need to make sure i got the pan in the right spot but any thing else, this is actually my first actual DIY oil change(the rest of my cars leaked and or burned oil so i jsu got to add some every once in a while.
