you should mount your licence plate behind the lower part of your front grill.... that way it is still there and wouldn't look like a buck tooth up there.

jest- didnt ur car come witha second piece w/ a license plate cutout to go in its place. My mom has the new a6 and it came with that front grill piece with the chrome and another for use with a license plate.
