Default First Audi, First Post

Just wanted to say hello this is my first Audi and I absolutely love the car. So far ive installed a new sound system, rims, and yesterday I did the clear corner mod by drilling out the amber pieces of the headlights. The clear corner mod this way was surprisingly easy. I try to do at least one thing new with the car every month and I have been debating what my next step would be. My car desperately needs to be lowered, but I will hold off until I can buy both springs and struts so I do it right. I was going to do tint, but because I'm a police officer that would be in poor taste to get illegal tint and the legal tint in this state is a waste of money at 35 percent. For my cars in the past I have always been happy with the sound and feel of intakes so I was leaning towards this,

I've been searching the forum all morning and I am hesitant to post this as my first due to what ive read from people with intake questions. I don't want a cai because hydrolock scares me and the carbonio or w/e it is was 380 bucks. Is the carbonio really worth 280 more?

And just to give you an idea of how badly i need to lower the car heres a pic

I like that color, is it Moro Blue?

Lowering would look nice with those wheels. The stock intake is pretty good, you won't notice much gain by changing that. For performance gains, nothing beats a chip for the money (APR, GIAC, or REVO). For more mojo, get a K04 or big turbo upgrade.

Painting the lowers means to paint the lower body panels (the unpainted gray ones) to match the rest of the car.

Yeah once I save up enough I will be likely to just go coil overs. Until then I need to keep modding to keep myself busy

You'd be surprised how good 35% can look. In direct sunlight, it definitely doesn't have that black out effect. But put the car in the shade and it blacks right out. I'd suggest doing that next. It also helps save your interior from sun damage.
