RE: Fault Code--P1556
Dont think it has to do with the different N75. Sounds like the spark screwed something up... Damn [:@]
I guess I just wouldnt do a TBA on it so you dont get the light.. You can check with vag com to see if the tb is adapted/within spec.

An update (fingers crossed). The EPC light came on when my wife plugged in her cell phone charger. So it is pointing to the cigarette lighter outlet. I disconnected the battery for about an hour to allow all electrical systems to discharge. I re-connected the battery and checked for codes--none. The EPC light is also off. The car is running as strong as before.

Sorry dude, I am and have been wayyyyyyyyyyy off on the whole negative deviation thing... Wow, I am so pissed at myself.. I dont even know how I could have gotten confused... Negative deviation is lower than expected boost.. So, underboost, not overboost. This WHOLE time I have been misdiagnosing mine and other people problems with negative deviation fault codes.. Damn... Luckily, the solution probably still remains the same for most, which is a faulty N75 valve. But it definately points to a problem which physicalystems fromvery close to the turbo, in general. Wether it be the N75 valve, DV, wastegate, leaky wastegate hose, etc. Its probably one of the most difficult fault codes to diagnose. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Here a link....http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Main_Page
Just click on the Fault Codes link on the left and look up you fault code for an explanation of the code and possible cause and solutions. Best part is that it's through Ross-Tech so you can be confident that the info is correct.
If you are as impressed with that site as I am...I suggest that we make it a sticky.
