Default European License plates

Hey guys just wondering htis might be a stupid question but. are euro plates legal?

I live in MA, I have no clue if I need a front plate. I drove without one for 2 weeks when I got my Audi because I was too lazy to find a screwdriver that'd take it off of my old fixture (it had those stupid dealer screws), and I never had a problem with the po-po.

there illegal especially if your state law requires a front plate. BUT, if you get nabbed its a fix it ticket and I've heard stories of ppl here in NJ not getting pulled for over 2 years with a europlate. and another guy who got pulled and the cop said "nice euro plate"

I've got mine in the mail. it reads SM0KE-u. I used a zero for the O and the little u with the dots above it for the u. came out pretty sweet I think.
