It could be your alternator. I had a 96 mustang gt, and from a stop, the car would whine(from the engine) and the headlights would get super bright. How is your voltage reading? Otherwise, I guess it could be your steering fluid. Go stick a wrench by your aternator, and if it sticks to it like a powerfull magnet, then that is your problem.
