Default Is engine snub mount necessary for K04? (pic included)

I have a K04 package bought from AWE-Tuning and love it. However, I see on APR's website that they strongly recommend this APR engine snub mount. Is this even necessary to put on your for just a K04 upgrade or is it really recommended. It just seems like a pain in the @ss to install it.

Its not necessary. And if you have tip, i would definately skip on APR's snub mount. A lot of people have vibrations with it that have tip (including me till i sold it.) Either way, manual or tip, if you want a snub mount i would go with the greedspeed snub. People have no complaints with it and its CHEAP: http://greedspeed.com/applications/1...eed_Snub_Mount

Upgrading the snub mount to one of ours, or APR's can help to reduce engine movement which can translate to less energy moving the engine around, and more energy moving the car.

They're a worthwhile upgrade, and don't introduce any NVH into the cabin. Paired with some stiffer engine and tranny mounts, it's definitely worth doing on a K04 kit or Stage 3.

all of those mounts just add for more vibration in the steering wheel, even though they are better for the motor.

Not at all. Upgrade motor mounts, tranny mounts and our snub mount won't add any noticeable vibrations, that's the beauty of them!

The APR mount sometimes can add vibrations, which is why we recommend it for more aggressive street and track applications.

engine movement being the priority when modding to a Ko4 from a Ko3 and I wont list all the other mods you should do because your bank will take a hammering

I had a K04 kit installed on a previous audi a4 until it got totaled so I have almost all the parts to put on my a4 i just bought. With upgrades installed and everything finished I want to be pushing about 250hp. By what it sounds its if-y to buy the snub mount cause of vibrations. Mike@PureMS you say to install it for aggressive street and track applications but is 80 extra hp worth getting it? Its not gonna be a race car.
