If my engine is steady at around 200-225 degrees am i ok? It hasnt reached 250 but ever since I had my new exhaust put on it seems to be running hotter than it used to? As long as I stay below 250 am I ok?

RE: Engine Overheating ?????
I used to have a '95 beamer that always ran a bit hot. Took it to a mechanic and his heat gun said it was steady at about 220 degrees and that was totally fine. If it goes hotter than 225 there's probably something wrong. If you don't mind taking it in for diagnostics it might be worth your while, otherwise it shouldn't really cause harm.

Tank, how do you know your car is running 250F? Are you looking at the lower left OIL temp gauge? Because that is not the same as your coolant temp guage. If it is your oil, you may have a problem with your cooler.
